|Location: Indoor Pool on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays (Year-Round schedule)
A low impact class that uses exercises in the pool to focus on aerobic activity. This class is for swimmers and non-swimmers alike, especially those with orthopedic issues or osteoarthritis. This popular water workout includes cardio and resistance training to help tone and sculpt without impact to the joints.
Great for all levels of fitness as class can be adapted for low, moderate, or high intensity workout levels!!
Class will focus on:
1. Cardio with an emphasis on high intensity aerobic intervals of plyometric jumps, cardio, flutter kicks and push-offs are just a few endurance exercises designed to elevate the heart rate.
2. Strength training for upper and lower body using pool equipment of kick boards, bells and noodles.
3. Deep water suspension training with water belts (provided by Sun City) that blends together cardio with core to increase the focus on postural awareness and muscle activation.
4. Abdominal work involving crunches, curls, pull-throughs, bicycles, V-sits and spinal rotations to name a few will give your core a challenge.
Swim Aerobics will take precedence in the indoor pool as an authorized association function during its normal class time. Lap lane lines will be removed on class days and the pool & all pool exercise equipment will be utilized from 9:40-11:10.
No other users are allowed in the pool during this time. Lap lane lines will be put back up as soon as possible.
All non-group activity users are encouraged to call ahead to be updated on the current availability status of the indoor pool and schedule.
The hot tub spa will be available to all residents during group pool activity and is not affected by this policy update. As a courtesy, please remain clear of the doors while class is exiting and use extra caution when entering as excess water lingers on the tiles.
